Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of family-friendly policies on the quality of working life of civil servants, focusing on the comparison among groups such as gender, marital status, family with/without preschool children, and single/dual income couple. For this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey with civil servants working in gu office. In the study, we find three important research results. First, the number using family-friendly policies, family-friendly organizational culture, and work-family conflict as variables for measuring family-friendly policies are statistically associated with the quality of working life of civil servants. While the number using family-friendly policies and family-friendly organizational culture are positively associated with the quality of working life of civil servants, work-family conflict are negatively associated with the quality of working life of civil servants. Second, family-friendly organizational culture has the strongest influence on the quality of working life of civil servants. Finally, we find that there are significant differences in the influence of family-friendly policies on the quality of working life of civil servants among groups. In particular, the differences noticeably appear in groups such as family with/without preschool children and single/dual income couple.
