Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the perception of acceptance ondiscrimination in personnel management of part-time employees at publicuniversities, compare the acceptance on discrimination in the personnelmanagement by perception about the reference group of part-timeemployees, and analyze the influence of the acceptance on discriminationin the personnel management on organizational justice. In the study, wefound three important results. First, the perception on discrimination in thepersonnel management of part-time employees was relatively low and theperception on discrimination in working conditions showed the lowestresult. Second, we found that there was no significant differences betweengroups assuming part-time employees and groups assuming full-timeemployees as a reference group in the perception of acceptance ondiscrimination in the personnel management. Third, we found thatacceptance on discrimination in the personnel management of part-timeemployees had consistently positive influences on distributive justice,procedural justice, and interactional justice. We also found that acceptanceon discrimination in annual income had a positive impact on proceduraljustice, and acceptance on discrimination in working conditions hadpositive influences on distributive justice and procedural justice.
