Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of intrasubject repeatability on the kinematic variables in different skill level during golf swing. 8 subjects (square, open, closed) performed each 10 swings with using a iron (number 7) and a driver. FastTrak electromagnetic tracking system was used to get the kinematic data. We analyzed the time to backswing and downswing, head lift to backswing and downswing, hip sway to backswing and downswing, hip and shoulder rotational angle, x-factor, and hip and shoulder rotational velocity during impact. The statistical analysis was used with Internal Consistency Reliability and two-way mixed ANOVA to get Internal Consistency Constant. The unskilled subjects showed less consistency in the time to backswing, wrist release point, and hip sway during impact. The skilled and unskilled subjects showed high consistency of the both the iron and the driver in the time to downswing, hip and shoulder rotational angle and x-factor during top, head lift in backswing and impact, hip and shoulder rotational velocity during impact, and hip sway in backswing and impact.
