Abstract
With the daily use of smart phones, users are accessing information through mobile web/application. The importance of mobile UI/UX design is highlighted, and the global UI/UX design service market is expected to grow at a high rate. As IT development companies and design consulting companies enter the mobile UI/UX design market, the design consulting process is complemented by using IT project development and management methodology along with design thinking. Empathy and understanding of users are very important in order to increase the usability and convenience of smart phone users and integrate user experiences. This study collected the processes and detailed activities of 60 domestic and foreign mobile UI/UX design consulting companies and conducted expert focus group interviews and surveys three times, and analyzed the concentration targets and empathy factors in the process.
Improvement measures were derived by grasping the empathy for the target of the domestic and foreign mobile UI/UX design consulting process and the importance of detailed activities. It proposes ways to improve detailed activities for each stage required for the mobile UI/UX design consulting project, and expects to be used as a guideline to improve user empathy awareness that can contribute to the value and growth of user experience.
