Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of public service motivation and organizational citizenship behavior as intrinsic motives on the work performance of public servants, the moderating effect of justice of rewards in the relationship between them, and the moderating effect on the MZ generation(20s~30s) and the older generation( 40s~50s). To summarize the analysis results, first, as expected, it was confirmed that both public service motivation and organizational citizenship behavior have a positive effect on improving the work performance of public servants. Second, public service motivation appeared to have a positive effect on public servants" work performance through an interaction with justice of rewards, confirming that they have a positive moderating effect that strengthens the relationship between public service motivation and work performance. However, justice of rewards did not appear to have a significant effect in the relationship between organizational citizenship behavior and work performance. Lastly, it was found that there was a difference in the moderating effect of justice of rewards on the impact of public service motivation and organizational citizenship behavior on the work performance of public servants between the MZ generation and the older generation. In other words, there was a moderating effect of justice of rewards that further strengthened the relationship between the two in the MZ generation, while there was no moderating effect in the older generation.
