Abstract
We need to internalize publicness and enhance public service motivation for solving the current social problems and making the Korean society better. This study explores possible alternatives of formal education to cultivate the future generation’s publicness and public service motivation. The main contents are as follow. First, service-learning will be positively related to enhance publicness and public service motivation. Second, service-learning that integrates curriculum and community service needs to be reflected in school education. Third, experience-focused education needs to be implemented in the classes of creative experience activities in elementary and secondary schools. Finally, service-learning needs to be reflected in the major courses of higher education programs.
