Abstract

This study analyzes the network structure of artificial intelligence (AI) projects and technological trend of AI based on open source development data. 40,123 AI open source project data were obtained from GitHub, among which 224 major projects were selected. The AI project network is constructed and seven AI technology fields were identified through network. It is revealed that Computer Vision is the largest field, and new technologies such as AutoML, Lightweight Deep Learning are also being actively researched. In addition, based on the popularity and activity of each project, the AI technology fields were divided into four areas. The findings of this study are expected to be fruitfully used for the establishment of AI R&D strategies and technology policies.
