Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify the dual mediating effects of self-esteem and objectified body consciousness in the relationship between leisure sports participation and life satisfaction. The main research results are as follows. First, participation in leisure sports was found to have a positive effect on self-esteem and life satisfaction. Second, self-esteem has a positive effect on life satisfaction, and it has been shown to partially mediate the relationship between leisure sports participation and life satisfaction. Third, objectified body consciousness has a negative effect on life satisfaction, and has been shown to partially mediate the relationship between leisure sports participation and life satisfaction. Through the above results, it can be seen that the more people participate in leisure sports, the higher the level of self-esteem, and the increased self-esteem lowers the tendency for college students to monitor their bodies and be ashamed, ultimately increasing the satisfaction of life.
