Abstract
To successfully spread the second phase of the university’s lifelong education system, various analysis of the first-cycle performance indicators of the university’s Lifelong Education System Support Project(LiFE) suggests ways to improve the evaluation system and develop a sustainable lifelong education system. The current performance evaluation system, such as key performance indicators, individual indicators, and autonomy indicators of the first phase of the lifelong education project was analyzed based on data from 30 universities participating in the LiFE project to the National Institute of Lifelong Education. Objectivity and comparability are low due to ambiguity in the method of measuring performance indicators, so it is necessary to develop sustainable indicators suitable for business purposes and to develop evaluation indicators from the perspective of adult learners(students) who are consumers of the lifelong education system. In addition, with the introduction of the lifelong education system project, the university’s performance has developed statistically significantly. By reviewing the adequacy of individual performance indicators of the LiFE project, the necessity of strengthening the lifelong education function of the university was suggested by strengthening the connection between the project goals and business operation and performance indicators. In addition, it is necessary to diversify the college entrance route, establish an adult-friendly academic system, and set performance indicators for co-prosperity with the local community.
