Abstract
Air springs for urban railway vehicles are products that satisfy both type approval and manufacturer approval prescribed by law. However, the airbag folding phenomenon occurred on the train of Seoul Metro Line 2. In this paper, we tried to find the test conditions under which the same phenomenon occurs for the air spring product of Line 2. The same phenomenon was reproduced in the lateral displacement test that was not included in the railway vehicle technical standards. By applying this, we tried to present additional criteria for determining the phenomenon of air spring folding.
