Abstract

Background As the people’s interest in health grows and the smart devices are getting popular, the market for smart health care are becoming bigger. In the market, there are many health care applications for exercise. However, many studies show that there are lack of motivation in current service. In this paper, we will propose UX design motivation strategies and suggest smart health care exercise management application design direction based on motivation strategies.
Methods For the study, the first, we analyzed the product/service status of healthcare service and the exercise application. Next, we analyzed user needs through advanced thesis research and in-depth interviews. Second, a study on motivation and suggest the motivation strategy for design. Third, apply the motivation strategy to suggest direction for health care exercise application.
Result In this study, we understand that people need motivation fundamentally to keep using the health care application. As a result, we suggested the health care exercise management application design based on motivation strategies.
Conclusion In this paper, we proposed a health care exercise application direction applying motivation strategies. We are looking forward to being used as a base study to smart health care UX design.
