Abstract

Countries in East Asia have been on a path to similar social changes under the patriarchal family ethic that follows rapid modernization and the teachings of Confucianism. The Korean film <MISSING>(2016) has created a new model for women's films that reflect on their survival from the perspective of women and the psychology of women, which has been remade into a Chinese film, <Lost, Found>(2018). The reverberations that the two movie texts have caused in both Korea and China confirm that the issues of motherhood myth and "women-mother" subject, which are shared by the texts, are shared in the East Asian region.
This paper examines the narrative analysis of two films to examine the difference of stratum, region, and culture background from the difference of stratum, region and culture background to the powerlessness, conflict, effort, belief and will of the 'mother' I tried to reveal the maternal myth of family ethics in East Asia and examine how the symbolic symbol of the two movie texts reflects the different conditions of Korea and China as different aspects. The Korean film <MISSING> and the Chinese film <Lost, Found> are both based on the suffering narrative of the lower woman, and pay attention to the difficulties faced by modern women as an individual with a traditional role of 'mother' do. Women in these two texts are in a completely conflicting position: employers and employees, lawyers and clients, full-time housewives and professional women, but they are subject to double-faced oppression as a neo-liberal system that follows the logic of family ethics and capital under patriarchy. By realistically describing the impossibility of the 'work-to-work compatibility' of these women's subjects, we sought the possibility of East Asian solidarity of the 'women' subject, who is abstaining from the 'mother' image of 'motherhood myth' , The significance of the link between two texts and text can be sought.
