디지털미디어 기반의 공공시설물 개념 및 디자인 제안

Recently, public facilities are also showing the endless changes in their role & function according to the change in technology, and such an element in digital technology is offering a motive of re-interpretation of the existence and role of publicness. The digital element in public design is aggressively used as a tool for suggesting the interactive environment leading to communication with the general public. Application, as a digital element, is imagified & symbolized free from the scope of communication, and thus it is inducing citizens' participation and the process of aggressive interaction through a two-way interactive approach. That each individual of the public, as an aggressive user of media, is changed to the position of a consumer and producer of culture obviously means that social communication system changes in the direction of openness.
This research is aimed at studying on the interaction between public facilities and their users through the application of digital media. This research regards it as meaningful to suggest the space where environment, city, and culture are communicating with each other through harmonization created by interaction between a user's emotion and technology in public sector.
