Abstract
The aim of this study is to anlalyse connected-device use of multidevice users. Simultaneous use, cross-platform use and linked-device-use of different are examined. The emergence of the smartphone has made today’s use of media totally different from that of the PC-based era.
This new change is significant because it has brought about a new paradigm to convergence that device-based convergence could not provide.
It focuses on the comparison between multi-device users and non-multidevice users, and between users of four devices who have a smartpad and users of three devices. Research findings are as follows. First,simultaneous use turns out to be more widely experienced than crossplatform use. Second, user with 4 devices have experienced more of cross-platform as well as simultaneous use than user with 3 devices.
