Abstract
With the recent spread of COVID-19 and the development of the fourth industrial revolution technology, the metaverse platform is showing rapid growth. In order to examine the effects of metaverse platform user characteristics and platform characteristics on innovation resistance, a survey was conducted on metaverse platform users. The result shows that among the user characteristics, the age of the user, and among the characteristics of the metaverse platform, the greater the perceived social risk and complexity, the greater the resistance to innovation. In addition, it was found that the greater the innovation resistance, the lower the intention to continue using it. In order to spread the metaverse platform, it is necessary to make users aware that the social risk is low even when using the metaverse platform. In addition, the UI needs to be improved so that anyone can easily use the Metaverse platform, and the need for active support from the government for technology development and content development was suggested
