Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the color of mobile app pages through color analysis. In this research, the concepts and the fundamental principles of mobile app color combination, and its visual influence were discussed. The winning brand/shopping mall app works of Smart App Award Korea were selected as case studies. For this study, the color distribution of selected app pages were reviewed with the color image scale by I.R.I. Color institute in Korea. To analyze the color tone in selected case studies from winning brand/shopping mall app works, the color tone, color combination, and the color theory were recommended as influential visual elements to keep app users longer in mobile app environment. As results, the suggested analysis tool of color showed some possibilities to use it as an evaluation criteria for designing mobile app site in the future. The suggested visual elements of mobile app color analysis will give a simple guideline to design affective mobile app in more effective ways.
