Abstract
This study tried to find the policy implications for promoting cultural industries in Korea on the relation between entrepreneurship and business performance of broadcasting production firms. This subject was evaluated by the research and the empirical models on the basis of references and the data collected from the survey targeting about 500 firms. The empirical results may suggest that the factors of enterprising spirit, innovative mind-set, entrepreneur competence and the perception on protecting intellectual property rights would affect significantly the business performance. Especially the role of the last factor could be emphasized for promoting the performance in the aspect of policy implication. This paper would imply that policy orientations which place importance on market-oriented components such as entrepreneurship and institutional system in market rather than supplier-oriented components such as offering basic hardware infrastructures.
