Abstract

The ultimate purpose of this research is the research on the categorization of the types and conceptiveunderstanding of open media in the generation of media 2.0. This study considers the types of open mediaby examining the examples which are categorized into open media. Media 2.0 is the more evolutionary formby the concept of open, sharing, participation than media 1.0. Based on media 2.0, this research considersmore thoroughly open media by classifying into participatory media which is for guiding participation of theusers, sharing media which is for sharing media and intensive media which include participatory and sharingmedia. Furthermore, this research focuses on the classification of the examples of data visualization anddisplay media art as sharing media and interactive media art and electronic litarature as participatory media.
