Abstract
As many cable TV companies and online broadcasters emerge small and medium-sized broadcasters reconsider their competitive strategies and the government also need to adjust broadcasting policy. Many overseas Korean broadcasters need excellent contents to retain their own competitiveness and increase viewer satisfaction in an era of global broadcast. This paper attempts to investigate factors affecting viewer satisfaction by using survey data of overseas Koreans in order to improve broadcasting policy of the government on overseas Korean broadcasters as well as draw implications on broadcasting strategies of the overseas Korean broadcasters. This paper analyzes how some factors of broadcasting companies and their program can affect on viewer satisfaction and how these can encourage Korean ethnic identity and maintain Korean cultural formation.
