Abstract
The purpose of this study is to derive measures the effectiveness of educational and training institutions in the forestry sector. A survey was conducted on trainees from the Korea Forestry Cooperative Training Institutes and a mixed study was conducted on teachers, in the form of an in-depth interview, to supplement the results of the initial survey. The results are as follows. The majority of the trainees were men in their 50s or older with a total of 10 to 15 years of experience. In addition, although trainees responded was beneficial for improving their job skills in the real field, respondents also expressed a considerable variety of forest education which they hoped to experience in the future. Through this, the implication of this study were discussed in addition to the suggestion for the further study.
