Abstract
This study aims to analyze the future demand for each forest sector industry and promising future jobs in the forest sector. To this end, based on the special classification system of the forest industry, the current forestry jobs and promising jobs were analyzed, and the scenario analysis was conducted to predict future demands. First, labor demands in inputs and raw materials industries may be negatively affected by environmental factors; : labor market and technology demand, social interest and status, government and private investment scale, and human resource development support system. On the other hands, labor demands in the processing, distribution, consumer-related industries and support services industries may be positively affected by all four factors. Second, promising jobs in the forest sector were expected to be affected by all four environmental factors. Based on the results, a policy was proposed to expand jobs in the forest sector.
