Abstract
This study aimed to design an educational program for fostering AI professionals in the forestry field. The research involved exploring the barriers and improvement factors perceived by forestry educators, as well as analyzing the demand for such a program. A survey was conducted with 134 education officers from the National Forestry Service using a developed measurement tool. The findings revealed that while there was generally positive anticipation for AI education programs in forestry, the existing infrastructure was perceived as insufficient to integrate AI into current forestry education. Participants emphasized the need for a specialized and differentiated education model led by the Forest Service. The study also highlighted the preference for long-term education courses (20 hours or more) that combine online and offline components, targeting both new employees and middle managers.
