Abstract
This study verifies whether LPG (Liquefied petroleum gas) can serve as an alternative fuel for industrial city gas and analyzes the economic effect of LPG replacing natural gas for power generation in a specific market scenarios. Simple regression analysis using the least squares method indicated a positive correlation between industrial city gas prices and LPG demand. Furthermore, the study compares the domestic import prices of LNG (Liquefied natural gas) and LPG during periods of significant increases in LNG spot market prices. It calculates the improvement in the trade balance by substituting LNG with LPG and examines the economic impact of stabilizing domestic natural gas prices through distribution.
