Abstract
This study analyzes the relation between the expansion rate and the water-stop time of acrylic gel injection type, also known as hydrophilic acrylate laminated on to EVA sheet, waterproofing material. For the parameters of this study, standard tap water at temperature of 20±2℃ was used, and the range of volume expansion rate was selected to be between 200% minimum to 2500% maximum. For each expansion rate, based on the water-stop time measurement results, as shown in Fig. 2, the water-stop time was visibly reduced along with the expansion rate in between the intervals of 223~826%, and after the 800% increase the water-stop time was determined to maintain the same rate.
