Abstract

Cycling is garnering attention among various sports for its accessibility to both men and women. Augmented reality services are being developed using goggles and helmets that can protect cyclists" eyes. This research aims to design smart glasses-utilizing cycling application content that could replace existing mobile applications by categorizing into essential, user-customized, and recreational functions for optimization for cycling users. The study analyzed current applications and prior research and examined both hardware aspects and technical components. The outcome was the identification of common application functions and the derivation of user-customized features using wearable devices. Recreational features that could enhance long-duration cycling experiences were also developed, along with the identification of areas for hardware improvement and technical limitations. Based on these insights, a prototype has been proposed, and it is hoped that it will be utilized as user-customized content for the development of cycling-optimized AR devices in the future.
