Abstract
This paper summarizes Žižek’s concepts of ideology reconstructed onLacan’s psychoanalytic theory, and his ideas on contemporary capitalism, communism and politics. By means of it, I’d like to show the traditional aspectin Žižek’s ‘new’ theory, and how the new and traditional aspects are interwovenwith each other to become a single theory. For this purpose, this paper examineshis concepts of ideology and fantasy, his analysis of culture capitalism andcontemporary capitalism, his position on communism and socialism, and hisargument about politics of the Real. In doing so, this paper makes an immanentcriticism of the theoretical and political problems contained in Žižek’s theory onCommunism.
