Abstract
This study attempted to investigate the relationship between leisure satisfaction and happiness for leisure service volunteers in Seoul, Korea. Using the convenience sampling and self-administration methods on-site, 184 surveys were distributed to adult volunteers who volunteered in leisure programs in churches, and 166 data were used for the statistical analysis. This study indicated that there were six subcomponents of leisure satisfaction (social, spiritual, physical, psychological, educational, and environmental satisfaction). First, the study found that those six subcomponents were significantly positively associated with the perceived happiness. Second, spiritual satisfaction showed the highest average score among six leisure satisfaction subcomponents. Third, age was found to be significantly related to social, spiritual, psychological, and environmental leisure satisfaction subcomponents. Fourth, the degree of happiness was found to statistically differentiate the level of social and psychological leisure satisfaction subcomponents.
