Abstract

Regarding the knowledge content as the core content in the multi-platform era, this study investigates the re-purposing system of knowledge content especiallycreated by independent productions which are the main producers of knowledgeprograms in broadcasting. Conducting in-depth interviews, we find that the financialvulnerability, the unfair copyright ownership and the insufficiency of contentre-purposing support system hold up the invigoration of re-purposing of knowledgecontent. These results suggest that it should reform the outsourcing productionsystem by reinforcing the project-based co-investment and joint-business, readjustingthe copyright ownership, maximizing an earnings through the re-purposing contentand diversifying the content distribution.
