Abstract
Korean Government have made much effort to improve the welfare service delivery to citizen through welfare informatization policies. The purpose of this study is to diagnose current informatization level of welfare area, to find main problems and to suggest the future policy directions. We used in-depth interview with expert professionals, such as social welfare professors and researchers. This study found the several problems and to solve them, we suggest the following policy directions; Firstly, welfare delivery system maintenance should be a priority to provide a desirable future welfare services. Secondly, the proper bonding and harmony between welfare personnel and information systems is essential for improving the quality of welfare services. Thirdly, the provision of welfare services for quality improvement is needed. Fourthly, information linkages and integration between related institutions should be expanded to provide customer-oriented welfare services.
