Abstract

The free text based touch stroke user authentication is a very useful user authentication method because it is easy to learn the input pattern of the users and to perform the authentication regardless of the information of the text inputted by the user. Unfortunately, this method has low authentication performance due to the freedom of the authentication based text and therefore needs to be supplemented. In this paper, we propose a new approach that can achieve better performance through linear combination of R-measure and A-measure values ​​used in existing free text-based touch screen user authentication method. By experiments, we have found the optimal parameters to maximize the performance of the method: it enhances the EER(Equal Error Rate) by 27.6%.
