Abstract
An efficient repairing process is proposed, required when the advancing front method encounters a problematic remaining space that cannot be meshed. Based on the normal vector on each segmental face of a front, the present method is not only simple to implement but also fast in re-meshing a remaining space. Based on the numerical experiments conducted for both simple and complex geometries, it is determined that this method is much faster than the distance method, which is based on the distance between two frontal edges, and it can provide a better quality of unstructured mesh compared to TGrid. More importantly, it is observed that the elapsed time for this repairing process is considerably smaller, regardless of the complexity of the geometry that is to be meshed.
