창의문화도시 조성사업의 경제적 파급효과 분석

This paper attempts to apply input-output analysis to investigate the economic impacts of the culture and recreation service industry in the national economy for the year 2006. This study pays particular attention to the culture and recreation service industry by taking the industry as exogenous and then investigating its three economic impacts; the production, value-added, and employment of other sectors. In addition, inter-industry linkage analysis is performed to obtain information on the forward and backward linkage effects to quantify the strength of causation among industries. In conclusion, an investment of 1.0 won on the culture and recreation service industry leads to increases in production by 1.5878 won, and in value-added by 0.9222 won. One billion of investment on the culture and recreation service industry also leads to 17.5865 persons' employment effect in Korean economy. Moreover, the culture and recreation service industry has both low forward and backward linkage effects.
