Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the moderating effects of serious leisure on the relationships between parenting stress and subjective satisfaction among mothers of elementary-school-aged children. The survey was commissioned by an online survey company, and a total of 598 mothers were included. The data were analyzed by structural equation model using SPSS Win Ver 25, Amos 25, and Jamovi. First, parenting stress negatively affected subjective satisfaction. Second, the relationship between parenting stress and subjective satisfaction was moderated serious leisure. The current findings suggest that involvement in serious leisure may be a crucial vehicle for coping with the parenting stress and improving subjective satisfaction among mothers of elementary –school-aged children.
