Abstract
Alternative energy is unlimited fundamental energy and has a lot of potential so it is applied in various fields. There are increasing heightening interests in alternative energy development and application to overcome environmental pollution and energy crisis so some of fossil energy are replaced. Also there are many active studies and developments for application on a medium, small scale or directly and independently not only large generator.
The purpose of the present study is an attempt to apply alternative energy to exterior lighting design which can be installed at ourdoor area such as trail, riverside park, plaza, children's playground and so on for citizen who preferred night activity. Through case study I analyzed type and character of alternative energy then I reserched applied parts to grasp principle and structure of system. I selected typical location and selected alternative energy which is suited for location. I selected design concept by results of the analysis and I made checklist and suggested usage scenario by research direction. I suggested design which use electricity effectively that is made by photovoltaic system through system configuration. Also there is additional advantage that it uses motion sensor so it can express the flow of human traffic. In the end, I simulated the result of rendering at location which is expected to install.
The research has a meaning that it suggests a lighting design that can match with scenery of location which is expected to install and reduce environmental pollution and save energy by reducing the burden of power supply to popularizing exterior lighting which applied alternative energy.
