Abstract

The industrial structure which concentrated on primary industries has been changed to the one whose key industries are secondary or tertiary industries by the economic growth plans of 1960`s. As the phenomenon that people move from rural area to urban area has been more severe with the change of the industrial structure, the city becomes to grow rapidly. The rapid growth of city caused several urban problems such as housing, traffic and environmental problems and the urban regeneration became a hot issue to solve those urban problems. The expected effects that can be made due to the detailed projects of the urban regeneration R&D program are various and cover diverse fields. The selection of the priority order among those fields is very important. In this study, we apply the fuzzy set theory(fuzzy decision making analysis) which can reflect the uncertainty of the respondents` opinions more than other decision making analysis methods. The results show that the respondents consider `the improvement of disaster prevention system` the most important. In addition, `the reduction of management expenses such as energy costs` and `the reduction of the number of offenses committed` come after it. The information come up with this research reflects the preferences of people and it can be used to decide which detailed project to come first.
