Abstract
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of Virtual Reality (VR) in school sports using meta-analysis. The specific goals of this study are to verify the effects of VR in school sports and investigate the factors that influence the effects. We collected research papers related to school sports and VR from a domestic academic database, and sorted them based on subject criteria for analysis. A total of 10 research papers were selected for the meta-analysis. This study showed that VR in school sports is effective. Also, this study found that the effects of VR in school sports appear differently depending on VR content areas, the number of VR contents, the number of participants, the education period, the education frequency, and hours per session. This finding can contribute to promoting VR education in school sports and improving the effects of VR education in school sports.
