Abstract
As advertising and design marketing cases using storytelling have increased, the concept of storydoing has been studied in the field of experiential design. This is not different from the concept of the existing storytelling, but it can be seen as the concept of expanding the development of the target of the storytelling by seeing the value of the existing.
This study analyzed case experiences of ‘Everyday Earthday Festival’ held at Sejong Center in 2017 and hosted by Ministry of Environment, Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute, BC Card, CU and Seven Eleven.
The research method is first to explore the concept of storytelling and storydolling, to summarize the characteristics of success stories of domestic and foreign stories, and to select the experiences of children in the eco-experience workshops held at ‘Everyday Earthday Festival’, topics and images, characteristics, materials, and practicality.
In order to analyze the experience design workshop elements for environmental education, Bernd Schmitt's experimental marketing modules (SEMs, Strategic Experiential Modules) were used as basic data. Pine and Gimore's experiential economic theory and AiLieberman And PatEsgate were analyzed as sub items.
As a result of the study, the environmental issues were selected as the story value, and the images and the features corresponding to the theme were shown.
Experience materials consisted of eco- friendly materials, and it was found that there were many educational, participatory and entertaining experiences rather than escape experience in order to be a workshop for thinking and practicing environment. In this way, we propose the direction of an effective experience design workshop using eco-friendly materials in order to achieve effective environmental education using the concept of storydoing.
