Abstract

The purpose of this study is to study the user experience of mobile web for effective disaster information, through comparison of COVID19 mobile web information UI design cases at home and abroad.
The research scope was selected as the Corona 19 mobile web in South Korea, the U.S., China, Japan and four other countries. Corona19 was limited to cases produced at the national level because information is public information. The analysis method found duplicate items on the Corona 19 mobile web in the country selected as examples and selected charts as the main element of data visualization. In addition, visual design items of prior research were extracted and added to the analysis items. After analyzing the characteristics of the mobile web selected based on this, a group of experts conducted user experience verification of the mobile web. According to the study, all five categories of Korea and China were ‘yes’ and ‘normal’, showing generally positive results. Among the evaluation items, the U.S. has a large distribution of usefulness, attractiveness and searchability as “yes” and “no,” resulting in an bipolar result. Japan’s five categories were ‘normal’ and ‘not.’ This showed that mobile web production is necessary to reflect the situation, importance and preference of each country in order to provide effective infectious disease-related information to the people on the mobile web of selected countries.
This study is meaningful in providing basic data that can be used to effectively communicate information to the people and facilitate quarantine when a global disaster occurs again.
