Abstract

An efficient uplink access priority scheme is of great importance for supporting a large number of mobile users with various levels of quality of service (QoS). The authors propose a novel two-phase access priority scheme, and show through mathematical analysis and computer simulation that the proposed scheme can differentiate the success probability of each class adaptively, and can also support many priorities effectively.
