Abstract

A pyrene-mercapto-based fluorescent chemosensor TTP was designed for detecting Ag+ with fluorescence variation. The binding mode of TTP to Ag+ was determined to be a 2:1 complexation through Job plot and ESI-MS analysis. Detection limit of sensor TTP for Ag+ was 76.5 nM. Moreover, sensing process of Ag+ with probe TTP was explained by 1H NMR titration and theoretical calculations.
