Abstract
In this paper, we propose a new nonlinear DC link voltage control scheme, which is based on a nonlinear load current observer, for voltage type PWM power converter. The load current observer is designed by using the full nonlinear converter model and our converter control scheme does not require any additional sensing device. Therefore, the converter adopting our new controller can provide fast and precise voltage regulation and can be made cheap and small. To demonstrate the practical use of our control method, we present various experimental results as well as mathematical performance analysis.
