Abstract

This paper presents a rule-based expert system for the optimal problem of photovoltaic(PV) system using discrete particle swarm optimization(PSO) in distribution power system. Expert system is applied on the discretization for a real-valued particle's velocity to a multi-valued discrete variable. In the discrete PSO procedures, several rules in terms of object value and optimization speed are employed to search for an optimal solution. The numerical results show the usefulness of the proposed discrete PSO for the allocation problem.
