Abstract

A new driving circuit for scan electrode in AC PDF was proposed. There are 2 switches per pixel line in current scan driver topology, but the number of scan driver switches can be reduced to one per pixel line with the new scan driver structure using the capacitance between adjacent electrodes. The analysis on the robustness of the proposed circuit was carried out together with the practical driving test. We have succeeded in making 64×128 pixel driving circuit, and the performance of the new scan electrode driving circuit was observed. The design outline was presented to which the new scan driver structure is applicable. And the performance change of the proposed scan electrode driving circuit was discussed.
