Abstract
In railway system, turnout is the most vulnerable system which has various faults such as out of tolerance, throwing over the switch under the train and fault of close adherence. So, a turnout monitoring systems is required for the better operating of turnout. In this paper, we designed the Turnout monitoring systems to diagnose the status of turnout. For this study, we built the prototype of turnout system as small scale and measured operating parameters such as close adherence detection, vibration and displacement. From those results, we suggest the algorithm of the decision-making system to determine the condition of turnout with system requirement of measured data.
