Abstract

Data governance is growing more and more as data becomes more important. However, since there is no analysis of research trends in data governance, it is difficult to understand the study flow of data governance. Therefore, this study collected previous research metadata on data governance and conducted research to analyze the trends of this metadata. The purpose of this study was to derive a pattern of research on data governance, to understand the flow of research and to provide directions for future research. This study collected research metadata from the last 11 years in the Web of Science index database and analyzed text mining, metadata analysis, and time series analysis. As this result, we found that research on data governance has been steadily increasing. Also, research topics in data governance have focused on specific keywords. In addition, the academic research of data governance has shifted from pure science area to applied science area.
