Abstract

In this paper, an adaptive resource control scheme over Cognitive Networks based on traffic estimation of the mean rate is proposed with the use of the IEEE 802.11 WLANfor wireless access part. The network model consists of the core IP network as well as thewireless access networks with lots of mobile hosts. This model is designed to include a means of provisioning QoS(Quality of Service) strategy according to the requirements of each particular traffic flow. Performance evaluation is carried out for showing the effectiveness of the proposed adaptiveresource control scheme.
