Application Development of an Enhanced Autonomous Valet Parking System

Abstract

At present, the urban traffic environment is very complex. In order to solve the social problem of shortage of parking spaces in the city and the tedious and troublesome task of finding parking spaces in the city, this thesis designs and develops an Enhanced Autonomous Valet Parking (EAVP) App based on 5G and V2X communication technologies. The App is equipped on the Android platform, and users can send a request to the EAVP cloud server through the App, and can view the information of the nearby parking lot and the vehicle itself in real time, grasp the vehicle status, and realize one-click autonomous parking and automatic pick-up.
