Abstract
This paper proposes an asymmetrical full-bridge converter with high-voltage gain. The control of the proposed converter is implemented with the asymmetrical pulsewidth modulation technique. The proposed converter achieves zero-voltage switching (ZVS) of all power switches. Zero-current switching (ZCS) of output diodes is also achieved. The proposed converter can provide high-voltage gain and the voltages across the semiconductor devices are effectively clamped. Steady-state analysis of the proposed converter is presented. A laboratory prototype of the proposed converter is developed, and its experimental results are presented for validation.
