Abstract
Diffusion process with high initial demand is often observed in the cultural products or new pharmaceuticalproduct. It implies a heterogeneous customer group which is not generally assumed in conventional diffusionmodels. Dual market models are the most common approach to deal with this heterogeneity, yet their complexityhinders estimation stability. In this study, we proposed an approach to estimate the diffusion process of the mainmarket and find the transition point based on BMIC (Bass model with integration constant). Monte Carlosimulation experiments demonstrated that suggested approach successfully find the transition point determinedunder another dual market model structure. It would help to comprehend the dynamics of the main marketparticularly with the initial influence parameter reproduction.
