Abstract

Hyaluronic acid (HA), an anionic polysaccharide, is widely distributed in extracellular matrix of connective tissues. Applications of HA as a drug carrier have been recognized as an important polymer in cell therapy and tissue engineering. Fabrications of nano- or micro- hyaluronic acid particle were performed for its possible application as a drug carrier. HA particles were fabricated by employing untrasonic method. The HA hydrogel particles were evaluated by measuring their swelling and release of model drugs. Its morphological properties were also evaluated by observing with LM and SEM. Biological properties of the HA particles were performed with assays of MTT, BrdU, Neutral red.
